COMMUNITY GARDEN PLOTS

Badger Park is home to Healdsburg's Community Garden. For over 25 years this space has welcomed generations of gardeners. Plot holders here grow vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs and enjoy access to year-round gardening thanks to our temperate climate. The garden has dedicated space where produce is grown specifically for the Healdsburg Food Pantry. Plot holders tend to this space and volunteer their time throughout the summer to harvest and make twice weekly deliveries. Additionally, there is a dedicated pollinator garden that is tended to by gardeners which boasts both native and nonnative plants that provide food, shelter, and host plants for pollinators. Plot holders at the Community Garden are required to tend to their plots as well as shared pathways and community spaces throughout the garden. Adjacent to the garden is a 'Compost Hub' in collaboration with Zero Waste Sonoma, where free compost is available to Sonoma County residents. The Badger Park Community Garden currently has a waitlist.
