Renter Resources

The City of Healdsburg is dedicated to supporting renters through a variety of resources and programs designed to ensure housing stability and affordability. Below, you will find a comprehensive list of services and assistance available to renters in our community:

The City offers access to a number of resources and programs that provide assistance for renters.

Rental Relocation Assistance

The State of California passed AB 1482, also known as the Tenant Protection Act of 2019, which provides renters with protections, including rent caps and just-cause eviction protections. These measures ensure that tenants are safeguarded against unreasonable rent increases and unjust evictions, enhancing housing stability and affordability for renters across the state.

In addition to these state protections, the City of Healdsburg offers additional support through a local ordinance. The Healdsburg Rental Relocation Ordinance (Chapter 9.44 of the Healdsburg Municipal Code) provides enhanced relocation payments and protections for income-qualified renters who are evicted for no-fault just cause. This ordinance ensures that renters earning low or moderate incomes receive the necessary assistance during the relocation process, providing additional financial support and stability.
